These course evaluations are copied by the instructor from various issues of Student Course Evaluations, written by the Student Advisory Committee of the Dean of the College of the University of Chicago. The only deliberate change was the correction of obvious spelling errors. The evaluations are in reverse chronological order.
The lectures were reported to be good by almost all the students. Several students commented that Mr. O'Donnell was the best instructor the students have had in Computer Science. Students felt he was very helpful.
There was one main class project which everyone participated in. Mr. O'Donnell then interviewed each student about the project to determine the student's grade. Students were not satisfied with the textbook, Digital Audio Signal Processing by Strawn.
