Rafi received B.S. in computer science, and M.S. degree in software engineering, and Ph.D. degree in information systems at the University of Michigan. Rafi has several publications in top tier I software engineering venues and built various collaborations with industry including eBay and Ford to validate his research contributions. His research is concerned with the application of intelligent search and machine learning in different software engineering areas such as bugs localization, triage, and prioritization. His current research interests are bug management, refactoring, software maintenance and evolution, artificial intelligence for software engineering, mining software repositories, and software quality assurance.
Rafi is an experienced software architect with a demonstrated history of working in software engineering. Rafi is skilled in software management with a great understanding of business processes and operations. Rafi has a great understanding of requirements gathering, application selection, and the development of various technological and business solutions. Rafi has taught several classes in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) topics, especially in software engineering and computer science domains.
